چکیده

Metaphor is understanding one thing in terms of another. Metaphors can be experienced two types relation to their modes: monomodal and multimodal metaphors. Taking for granted that conceptual metaphor a matter thought action entails other modes than verbal/linguistic express individually or jointly. Multi-modal Emotion Recognition – More "cognitive" Machines

Based on several results related to studies on emotions, we suggest that the process of emotionrecognition is assisted by some internal structure of the cognitive images of emotions, which are at different levels of knowledge representation. We concede that the main proposed in psychology models are in correspondence with these levels and in this sense complementary. We summarize the state-of-t...

Multi-Modal Cognitive States: Augmenting the State in Cognitive Architectures

Different streams of AI idealize different aspects of human cognition. Idealization of intelligence as an embodied activity, involving an integration of cognition, perception and the body, places the tightest constraints on the design space for AI artifacts, forcing AI to deeply understand the design tradeoffs and tricks that biology has developed. I propose that a step in the design of such ar...

Cognitive Engineering of a Military Multi-Modal Memory Restructuring System

Several methods have been proposed to treat combat veterans with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Still, a recent review reports on high drop-out and non response rates. This has motivated work into the design of a software application to support and to increase the appeal of traditional face-to-face trauma-focused psychotherapy. The research followed a situated cognitive engineering appro...

Multi Modal Biometric Systems: A State of the Art Survey

In its most general definition, Biometrics refers to the science of automatic recognition of individuals based on some specific physiological and/or behavioural features. In this paper, we discuss the mo...
